About this bottle
Located in the very northwest corner of Illinois, the Blaum Brothers Distilling Co. make a range of craft spirits. With a focus on gin and whiskey, it’s no surprise that eventually some of those gins would find themselves in a barrel. Make no mistake, this is not a simple system of reusing their bourbon barrels, but rather a complex network of different barrel types combined to create a “Reserve Gin” series with each batch benefiting from a different composition of oak types. For this inaugural batch, two ex-bourbon barrels are married with two heavily-toasted new oak barrels.
