Smell: Orange, lavender (floral), juniper (pine), almost scope smell, maybe a hint of mint?, maybe cardamom?, Snifter: pine comes at the end, i wanna say it reminds me of rose water butwith lavender, bready beginning, i still get the background scope maybe? It is almost herbal i wanna say, def some floral On Ice: a lot of orange, still pretty sweet, decently bready, lavender/floral notes are still there, mint is there and still has a hint of herbaceous (mostly floral though), it is sweet it has an almost candied quality with it, Drink Rec: maybe a martini to go against the olive?, if not then a Negroni to combat the bitterness Verdict: Try It, its a different gin that I am excited to mix in different cocktails
About this bottle
Hailing from Richmond, California--close to the San Francisco Bay--Spiritus seeks to take advantage of the Golden State’s diverse and abundant supply of natural produce. These ingredients are painstakingly distilled — sometimes individually — and married together to allow them a clear voice over the base of non-GMO grain spirit. Perhaps most intriguing, the high-proof distillate is cut with a solution of fresh Sierra Nevada mountain-range spring water and aromatic Persian cucumbers.
