I finally had a chance to try this Gin and while it is very smooth and has a great mix of botanicals but it is a bit pricey for my taste. I like the juniper nose and citrus end, but it still has a peppery finish that is very much like Tanqueray 10. However, it is more expensive. It does make a very solid Gin and Tonic but it is easy to drown the gin. In a Martini, I had to use a little less vermouth because the first one I made I mainly tasted the vermouth. It is quite good but a little too pricey for the quality. Now if you like Tanqueray 10 you will most likely like this. Drink and enjoy.
About this bottle
Brooklyn Gin was started in 2010 by Emil Jättne and Joe Santos, who wanted to create their own version of a small-batch gin. Unable to build their own distillery at the time, they teamed up with Warwick Valley and Distillery, located upstate in the Hudson Valley, to help them produce their gin. Brooklyn Gin is made with 100% corn spirit that is distilled with juniper and fresh citrus peel. It is bottled at 40% ABV.

This is such a good gin for a G&T - it is very juniper and citrus driven but also got some peppery notes. It has intensity but is very smooth and harmonic on tongue - even when tasting straight up it is quite refreshing. With tonic the citrus is enhanced with lemon peel. A very nicely made craft gin that justifies its slightly higher price.
Wet and heavy with orange oils, and as such, makes for a poor martini, which is where I first tried it. Works far better in a citrusy Vesper and presumably in a G&T and on the rocks. Not bad, but not my type. I do like the heavy, brass-like cork that could probably K.O. a person from 20 feet away if your pitching arm was up to it.
A crisp, Small Batch Gin by Brooklyn Craft Works Warwick in Brooklyn, New York. It has a thick & slightly aromatic birth with notes of juniper & lemons; while a rich life adds deep citrus, orange, tangy lime, lemon & floral notes; that led to a long & mellow death sugar & sweet pine. September 2018 / February / November 2019
This gin possesses such great flavor and mouthfeel that it’s almost worth sipping neat. The fresh juniper is explosive, balanced nicely by the citrus notes. While it might not be perfectly suited to every cocktail style, this gin is interesting enough to warrant a buy and subsequent experimentation.
Lemon and floral on the nose. It's straightforward in flavour, juniper forward, with lemongrass, anise, vanilla. Soft on the palate, like mango flesh. Just not that exciting, but the bottle sure looks good on the bar.
