About this bottle
This 2016 Diageo Special Release of Brora single malt is an extra year older than the distillery's 2015 release for the same collection. And again, rumor has it that this may be the distillery's last appearance in the collection. Since its closure in 1983, falling victim to the era's oversaturated whisky market, single malt releases from this Highland distillery are now rare and hard to come by (and therefore, very expensive). Distilled in 1977 this highly sought-after expression enjoyed an undisturbed maturation for 38 years before being bottled at 48.6%. Only 2,984 bottlings were ever produced.
