N: strong vanilla, strong ethanol, very light red fruit, no wood P: waves of vanilla, mild oak arrives and fades quickly long alcohol burn without flavor O: this whiskey irritated me, it mgp distilled but they don't mention that on the label, you can find almost no specifics on this on their website, this was just undone by the amount of alcohol that remained on the nose and it covered the finish, even after being opened for months, I like high abv for the richness and full flavor and this had neither, disappointing

This is the pinot noir barrel finished, batch #14. Basically, its a bourbon sourced from MGP and then finished another year in Oregon pinot noir wine casks. Nose is like a berry cobbler and vanilla ice cream. The flavor is sweet corn, butterscotch, buttercream frosting, some red wine notes and a little bit of tannins on the finish. It’s sweet without being cloying. Really really nice stuff.
Had the 13 year maple syrup finished edition. Sweet is the first word of course. Tastes like maple syrup with a touch of alcohol. Nice old fashioned with ice and orange bitters. Still a bit sweet but not if you like that type of finish. Added Pikeville rye to calm down a bit and was a nice mix with subdued sweetness.
Great price for a 13 year old whiskey at cask strength. Not a lot of depth of flavor but holds ip well in a cocktail
