An intense, White Dog Spirit, by Matti Anttila for Grain & Barrel Spirits in Florida. Bootlegger’s Blend is just what it sounds like — a blend of 40% Rye Whiskey & 60% Bourbon of unknown mash bill from mysterious distilleries. Age & grain composition cannot be guaranteed & that means in certain jurisdictions it can’t even be called “Whiskey.” It has a delicate birth with notes of dried fruit, grain, mint & overripe peach; while a spicy life adds notes of sandalwood, baking spices, pepper & a hint of butterscotch; that leads to a tingling & brisk death with notes of corn & rye.
