There are first world problems and then first world 1% problems. When you think ah not another cognac xo sample to try that's when you start to get a glimpse of the pain those poor 1%'s have to go though most days. I think after the one more cognac xo sample I have i'm taking a break from cognac for a while before I get cognac rsi/ous. Anyhow this is nice. I think with spirits these days it's a bit like the craft beer journey i went on for a decade or so. I drank stronger and more hoppier beers until I hit a triple hopped 13% beer one day, hit a wall and then started going backwards. These days beer wise i generally potter around base camp rather than the top of Mt Everest and for spirits i am enjoying more the lower abv drams around 46. Even 40% is sometimes nice. Flavor wise not a lot going on but nice wind down dram.
