Tried this last year at their tiny distillery and again today at a New York Rye Week event. It’s a very decent rye that hits all the right notes and none of the wrong ones. As good as any of the ryes in the increasingly crowded New York State distillery scene and better than many.
About this bottle
This whiskey is made from 100% Hudson valley rye sourced from neighboring farms including the distillery's own. It is malted and kilned on-site and mashed in open-top wood fermenters. Distillation occurs in direct-fire alembic stills. It is aged a minimum of two years in new, charred American oak. Bottled at 96 proof. The name derives from a peak overlooking the distillery in the Hudson Valley.

Best Rye whiskey. It is similar as Whistle pig 10yrs, but more deep and more rich. When I drink this, I feel doing hide and seek. It is pleasure to find various rich smell and taste from this whiskey.
Red hot. Had some burn at first, but then got used to it.
Spicy yet smooth
