The nose is more reminiscent of a bourbon than of a rye in that the sugars are upfront and forward well in advance of the rye spices. Vanilla, caramel, brown sugar with apples and black pepper are the dominant notes. The sugars coat the roof of the mouth when sipped with very little burn to the throat. The low proof point of 80 prevents this whiskey from having much of a finish with the flavors all dissipating rapidly. Nose: 3.5/5 Taste: 3.5/5 Overall: 3.5/5 Repurchase: No Type: Friday Night Pour
Crown Royal Limited Edition
About this bottle
The heart of this dram is Crown Royal's unique batch-base whisky - corn spirit distilled to high abv in small batches then matured in previously used barrels. This is the source of its condensed milk texture. A perennial favorite from coast to coast in Canada, Limited Edition is difficult to find outside Canada. If you're visiting make sure to pick one up.

The critic review nails the nose and pallet but I do not find the pepper spice finish suggested. This expression has complexity way above the average mildness of most Canadian whiskies. I got my bottle in Canada and will get another when I next visit the great white north!
Ultra smooth...very drinkable! Lacks in memorable flavor profile is only downside.
Honestly Not impressive, I actually its worse than regular Crown royal. very bland
This is really nice. Hot peppery, touch of citrus. Interesting
Une belle surprise! Belle jambe et un goût légèrement épicé.
