Medium juniper and slight citrus in the base, grape body also seems recognizable, spicy in flavor moreso than in the nose, neat sip very warm with the slightest savoury aftertaste, tonic brings out the juniper and citrus a little more, overall rather well balanced and enjoyable.
About this bottle
The winemakers at KWV Distillery aimed to create a gin with emphasis on local botanicals. Cruxland Gin is a London Dry style gin that is double distilled from grapes, and features Kalahari truffles as the signature botanical. These truffles also inspired the name of the gin. Known locally as N'abbas, these truffles tend to swell up after rains, and create a distinct cross-shaped crack in the ground. This mark gives away their location to experienced truffle hunters.

Pleasantly sweet, with very strong vanilla aftertaste. A tad harsher on the tongue compared to Bombay Sapphire, but great on the rocks or with a proper lemonade.
Interesting flavor profile but, the result is underwhelming. Out of a group of four people, we all felt somewhat disappointed and, we ended up mixing it up.
A bit too steeped in liquorice for my taste; well balanced and reasonably priced. Can find better alternative for that price
Really liking this, unusual flavors. Making my martini with cardamom bitters and Dolin dry.
I love licorice but this was a tad overpowering for me.
