Neck pours. Nose: Dark fruits, Manuka honey, barrel spices, light caramel, vanilla and fresh oak, plus a hint of tobacco, licorice and ethanol. Palate: Somewhat rich and full, barrel spices lead the way followed by fresh dark fruit, stewed apples, honey, vanilla and hints of chocolate and licorice. Finish: Long and spicy with honey, dark fruits and licorice notes.

An intense, 20-year-old Brandy by Darroze in Bas-Armagnac, France. It opens with notes of dried & stewed fruits, herbs & spices; while a rich & fruity life adds notes of prunes, vanilla & caramel; that led to a long & warm death with notes of oak & leather. August 2017 / June 2018
