Nose- rye bread, carawau seed, fresh strawberry, and ethanol. Palate- rye forward with a hint of fresh strawberry. Much hotter than its 98 proof. Palate is thin. Finish- straberry rhubarb Overall- I was enticed by 7 yr rye, but the finishes were confusing. I got the port- stawberry jam, but didnt get the rum. Seemed young to me. Average bottle

Nose: caramel, all spice, cherry/sherry sweetness, and some slight oak Taste: bright rye spice up front with port forward sweetness coming quickly after. Very nice winter pour.

On the nose, brown sugar and creme brulee. On the palete, brown sugar and faint note of orange chocolate. On the finish, baking spice, powdered sugar, charred oak.

Candied baking spice. Warming but not hot. Really good balance
