Dr. Stoner's Smoky Herb Whiskey

The is a very interesting whiskey. I have never had anything quite like it. First the nose: This bottle smells like my first living space after the dorms. The one where I shared a shabby 3 bedroom house with 3 guys, their girlfriends and whoever crashed on the couch. We didn't even have a dining room table just a foosball table, and the kitchen sink was always filled with dirty dishes. Now for the palate: right up front you get this overpowering liberal arts class schedule that won't really help you out in the real world. As you sip it, it has a mouth feel that can only be described as "surviving off of ramen for a month so you can afford beer". The finish is very quick, doesn't last very long at all, kind of like, well... I certainly didn't remember it in the morning, and neither will she. Overall this is a bottle full of nostalgia. A lot of nostalgia I would like to leave in the past. Let's agree not to talk about this in front of our children. Cool?

If this smells, and tastes, of “herb”; it must be a hybrid indica, it’s definitely not the sativa of my youth. It reminds me more of B & B, but not as sweet because of the whiskey base. Very flavorful herbal blend that might find a home in the cabinet, but not as a daily dram.

Smokey herbs and a bit of sweet caramel on the nose. Very sweet caramel on the tongue with a bit of whiskey burn and an interesting herby finish.

Smells like weed and has a taste of what I imagine weed would taste like. Flavor and smell is pronounced but I just don’t like weed.

There was so much going on here...not terrible but not good enough to buy a bottle and try it out
