Efe Gold Raki, 45% ABV. A third raki variety tried in Turkiye. Tasting neat and with an ice cube. Clear in the glass with good coating legs. Loaches well with an ice cube. The nose is light anise and floral sweetness. In the mouth, a clean anise flavor, some white sugar, and floral grape. A peppery spice comes on toward the finish, but not strong or ethanol laden. The finish is anise, grape must, hint of white pepper, sweet but short and clean with a sour grape note at the very tail. This is the most balanced and easiest drinking of the three tasted so far, but not necessarily the most interesting (I've given that to Yeni Raki with its spicier mid-palate).
