However, the barrels can only be used once to make the whiskey, so why not age tequila in it? This añejo was aged 22 months in barrels that once held George T. Stagg bourbon.

Neat. Nose is sweet tequila and oak. Taste is sweet caramel tequila up front with a sweet oaky bourbon finish. It’s pretty good but I don’t love it. Not a big tequila fan but love George T Stagg. Had to try it.
Very smooth upfront. Some burn at the end but really great. The whiskey Barrel at the end is delightful.
