The nose is fresh with charred oak, ripe fruit, barley sugar and brown sugar. It is bright and full of life, with a heavy emphasis on citrus notes. The palate is soft and opens up with barley and charred oak, giving way to buttery vanilla and a slight kick of pepper. It is creamy and smooth, uncomplicated and dangerously easy to drink. The finish is medium and creamy, with buttery vanilla lingering in the mouth while barley and straw gently fade to round out a wonderful experience.
About this bottle
This is a blended Irish whiskey from Powerscourt Distillery in Wicklow. A portion of their own distillate makes up the 50/50 blend of malt whiskey (first-fill bourbon cask matured) and grain whiskey (matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and new heavy char casks).

Floral nose with pergamonto and fresh vanilla notes, herbal and cereal palete with malty aftertaste, overall unique whiskey with irish easygoing character that also leaves a "scotch" impression (cause of the malt)
Better without water. Adding water makes it very sharp and spicey ( a little too much pepper clove with water). Without water there is a light peat and some light floral tastes
irsigh small batch fruit full bodied with light finish, simple finish/ palate
Criminally underrated, my new favourite Irish.
Rund och fruktig smak som hänger kvar länge
