An elegant, Irish Whiskey by Master Distiller David F. Hynes for Finvara Distillery in Fort of Dealgan, Ireland crafted with grains & malted barley, triple-distilled in copper pots, aged in bourbon and Sherry barrels before being bottled at 43% ABV. It has an aromatic birth with notes of grain, wood, dried fruits, herbs & spices; while a rich life adds notes of caramel, sweet toffee, honey & butterscotch; that led to a quick & delicate death with hints of oak, pepper, vanilla & chocolate.

More complex tasting profile than I normally expect from Irish whiskey. It’s a decent sipper but not as smooth as I normally associate with Irish whiskeys. In some ways it closer to a bourbon or rye profile. Would be an excellent mixer in an Old Fashioned or similar mixed drinks. Even though it tastes like a youger whiskey, it’s an excellent value at it’s current price point.
Flaviar Advent 2025 #19. Clear golden amber body medium legging. Spicy bready tobacco earthy aroma. Caramel fruit spicy bready flavor. Light body moderately low carbonation. 8/4/9/4/17 4.2
Beautiful golden hue with nice legs on the glass. Aroma of fusil alcohol and notes of honey up front. Malt is mid pallet along with a spicy finish, it drinks well.
A typical Irish whiskey. Smooth with an apple-y taste.
