About this bottle
While the Gleann Mόr Spirits Company is better known as a independent bottler of single malt scotch whiskies, in 2015 they entered the gin industry when they released FIRKIN gin. Because the gin is made is small batches usually no more than 250 bottles, Gleann Mόr named their new gin after a firkin, a small cask used to hold foods or liquids. This gin is made with a selected recipe of botanicals, including juniper, coriander seed, angelica root and orris root, which are infused with the base spirit and distilled four times. After a short maturation time (about 3 months) in American oak casks previously used to aged American whiskey, the gin is bottled at 46% ABV.
