Simply a great Rum! Rich from the 25 years in bourbon barrels, and full of balanced spices and cane sugar. This is an easy win for a whisky drinker with a bose that is not full of syrup sugar that some young rums have, but a sweet sugar cane, cinnamon notes that warm you like christmas. The palte and finish contine with the same beatiful flavors and end rich and dense.
One of the best spirits I’ve ever had. Possibly the best. Perfect brown sugar with deep oak and leather. This will convert any fine whisky aficionado to the world of fine rums. The Nicaraguans have outdone themselves here.
An intense, well-aged, Flor de Caña single estate rum from Nicaragua. It opens with notes of vanilla, wood & dark cocoa; while a palate of almond, fruit & caramel lead to a smooth & complex finish. June 2017 / 2018
This is a superb drink. A bit dry, not too sweet, with hints of chocolate, tobacco, spice and wood notes. The finish was nice, balance and lasting. Great for special occasions.
Well it's less sugary than the Diplomatico but not as rich flavour. Bit of bitterness, cherry, cocoa 3.5 for quality and sweetness. At $100USD wouldn't buy a bottle.
