Decent sipper Bourbon. Not special occasion, but not every day either. I'm not including much detail about flavor profiles, notes, and finish because as of right now, my Bourbon/Whiskey pallet is still pretty underdeveloped with more than 50 tracked tastings, but less than 100 as of 2022. (That's not all consumed, just all appreciated outside of shots and mixers)
Nose seems a bit chemical, musty wood. Opens up a bit, with some brown sugar notes. On the palate... way smoother than I expected for the proof. Almost seems flat. Some turpentine and pepper. A pleasant spice. Looong finish. Seems like something that will open up after more time. 9/6/20
Notes of sweet pine, earth, tobacco and caramel, conjures waking up on a cool sunny morning in the PNW with the lingering scent from last night’s campfire.
All the great traits of four Rose's single barrel but higher proof. Notes of vanilla, nuts, caramel, leather, spice. So good!
