Ah I can't really help myself with this bar. I can't just wander by...just..have...to...have...one...just one small dram. Ok 3 drams..definitely just 3. No. 1 Glen turret. I have this paired with the 26 year Glenturret from BBR and a 24 year Jura...so how does it fare? Well very well actually even though it's the cheaper dram at ~ $55 USD. Nice viscous mouth feel, the bourban is dominant. Now if the KM 09 is a 4 this can't be more than a 3.4.

If you're not the kind of person who exclussively enjoys smooth whiskey, this might present itself as a good offering. It's rather spicey and comes with a bite. There is certain complexity to it but brings a rather short aftertaste. Will definetely look out for the older Glenturret expressions.
Nose: apples and green grapes. Color: Light yellowish Palate: Glassy and very light; no sharp taste; sharp alcohol burn. Finish: Slow roll on; Boiled peanuts. Burn rolls off slowly. Overall: Meh. Would not buy.
Malty nose with orchard fruit. Taste of golden raisins reminicent of irish whiskey. The sherry cask is very apparant. Smoother than achentoshen three wood. Lingering finish of stone fruit.
Banana cream, cinnamon and honey on the nose leads to green apples and cinnamon on the palate. The finish is dark chocolate drizzled over black currents. A tasty whiskey!
Nose: plaster, very mild peach/pear, mild banana, burnt Palate: muted cherry, mild banana, very mild vanilla Finish sherry Too rough/alcohol burn for a lower ABV.
