Heavy notes of cinnamon graham cracker on the nose. The palate brings toasted coconut, with a hint of grass on the back end. Upon continual tastes, the barley and coffee notes slip through while highlighting the Stout Beer notes coming from the barrel this was finished in. As we gravitate into the finish, the beer and barley notes slowly dissipate to close this glass on a balanced and consistent end. This glass differentiates itself using the Stout Beer the whiskey is finished with. Overall however, it does not set itself apart from the better experimental whiskeys I’ve had. Just above average, but not something I’ll itch for on the day to day basis.

The stout finish comes across in the nose as an almost tea-like scent which is very strong. There is a grassy note too. The taste is less pleasant for me, as someone who does not like many stouts. The same tea-like nose is present in the taste, and the whiskey flavor while muted is balanced. There is a clear sweetness where I notice some chocolate. Unfortunately that faded quickly leaving me with a long, long lasting tea/stout aftertaste. Not something I will drink again. If you like experimental whiskeys and stout it might be more up your alley. Note: Tasted as part of Drinks by the Dram Advent Calendar.
Nice pour. Tried something new after a quick tasting at lical Too 10 Liquor. An average bourbon enhanced with a subtle hint of stout on the back palate. Nice sipper
I love stout, but I would rather drink beer, not the whiskey.
Smoky okay, but stout barrel doesn't go well
Chocolate, coffee
