Introduced in 1994, Herradura Selección Suprema Extra Añejo is made from 100% estate-grown blue weber agave, harvested 10 years after planting. The tequila spends its time in imported American oak barrels for several years (49 months, to be exact), before bottling at 80 proof. It's produced at Casa Herradura (NOM 1119), which is located in Amatitán and part of Jalisco's Tequila Valley (Lowlands).

Same flavour profile as their Reposado but incredibly smooth, with added richness. Absolutely delicious, but overpriced. Not available in Ontario. $390 in the states (Arizona). If it was less than $200 CAD then it would be in my bar. Certainly better than Don Julio 1942. Depending on your preferences it may be on par with Cuervo Reserva Familia. Bright, fruity and sweet vs. deep and complex.

It sips nice but not really my thing. The pungent nose is not as pronounced on the palette. It doesn’t leave that oily residue we all love.
Amazing. One of the smoothest and most flavorful Tequilas I have ever had. The American Oak hovers in the background making an appearance in the slow burning after-taste. So so good. This one is very special so if you can find a bottle at your favorite bar, treat yourself. It’s pricy - but well worth it.
Drinks like a bourbon. It is rich and sweet with no bite. I can see how a tequila purist would not rank this as high as myself. I’m a bourbon guy that dabbles in tequila.
This is the finest tequila in the world. If you're a fan of top shelf bourbons, this is the tequila for you. Nicely oaked, vanilla aroma, smooth, just perfect.
