Getting used to the rye smell this is a little different rye maybe because of the age doesn’t seem mature enough. Still very good for a whiskey. Brings the heat with high proof cutting with ice the smell is nice and not overpowering. Light Carmel or maybe vanilla. I like the rye but maybe not the double rye. Still really good sipping.

Leather and berries on the nose. Maybe some Apple Jacks cereal? Palate is pretty soft/sweet, like a hot grandma. Like Helen Mirren. Don’t kid yourself, you’d hit it. Finish has, bear with me, nuts and cinnamon.
This is great bottle. Lots of ripe red fruits and caramel, some spice. If it had more time in the barrel it hink it would be much better. Still good. Would buy another.
Neat. Nose is sweet, spicy blackberry cream. Taste is sweet blackberry up front followed by spice and dryness with a long dry spicy wine finish.
Sweet smell. Dried out my tongue like a dry red wine. After going down it puckers the mouth a bit. Nice after taste.
Pretty reddish color. Peppery, spicy rye notes with fruity undertones, and an intense finish.
