About this bottle

Himbrimi Old Tom Gin is made at the Brunnur Distillery in Reykjavik, Iceland. It was originally developed by Icelandic artist and entrepreneur Óskar Ericsson as a sipping companion for his flyfishing trips along the eastern coastline of the Westfjords of Iceland. The gin is made with Icelandic spring water along with organic juniper berries, wild angelica flowers, and wild Arctic thyme. After the botanicals are infused in a grain spirit, the gin is filtered and sweetened with organic honey. The US launch begins in September 2022 starting with the New York market with others to follow later in the year.

Belle robe ambrée venant de lajout de miel. Arômes de baies de genièvre, miel, branche de sapin légèrement brûlée, petit côté caramélisé style fût de whisky canadien de plusieurs utilisations, herbes douces. En bouche, c'est surprenamment assez corsé. Pas ce goût typique de gin en tant que tel mais un présence d'écorces d'orange bien séchées, de miel brûlé et de pamplemousse blanc amer. Quelques saveurs se sapinage et de petites pousses nordiques se dégagent également. Texture un peu agressive en bouche mais j'ai bien hâte de l'essayer en gin tonic. J'ai l'impression que les saveurs vont bien se compléter.

Eau de rose, petale de rose, genièvre et une sucrosité mieleuse! Tres herbal sinon et le tout est très différent de ce qu'on trouve partout! Très content de ce souvenir d'Islande!
