Bit of a roller coaster. Nose starts off with tropical fruits along with some astringency and of course the peat. Taste is sweet, rich, smoky, and peaty. There’s a tannin feeling as this coats the mouth and an almost (barely) bit of BBQ tanginess going on. The finish is shorter for a peaty offering and you’re left with a sweet toffee taste to chew on. Overall it’s good. It’s young and kind of has the feeling that it’s not quite sure what it is although the there’s a lot in it. It certainly does not lack in complexity.
