Trying this alongside a few others for research purposes. I like this tequila and got to try before I bought. I read a review below that said “buttery” and I picked that up as soon as I took another taste. Nice reposado, cool bottle, and good price point. 8/17/22
About this bottle
Hussong's Reposado Tequila is made in Jalisco from 100% blue weber agave. It is aged 5 months in oak barrels previously used for aging bourbon. Distilled twice, hand-bottled in clay jugs and cork-sealed, it carries the legacy of Juan Hussong's handmade tequila from "The Cinderella of the Pacific," the coastal city of Ensenada, Mexico.

Nose is sweet, grassy, herbal, slightly soapy. Body is light with very smooth finish. Clean, balanced with light sweetness. Front flavor profile of fresh cut grass, raw agave, thin. Mid taste light of caramel then disappears. No real aftertaste.
One of my favorite tequilas in the $30 price range. Has a medium alcohol burn with a slightly sweet taste and nice afternotes. Hard to find in stock, I always pick up a few bottles when I see it. I like it on the rocks.
On the nose very light, hints of hay and buttered popcorn. Smooth tastes of honey throughout, sweet, black pepper and very minimal burn on the end. Solid buy.
Among the worst tequilas I've had. I feel like I just paid for a fancy bottle. The flavor was very sharp and reminded me of a mixto.
Agave, ash, tobacco, chocolate, buttery caramel corn, brown sugar, nuts, cinnamon.
