An intense, Rye Whiskey from Chattanooga, Tennessee first matured in an American white oak barrel then finished in an Amarone Cask. It has a rich birth with notes of dried fruits & spice; while a balanced life adds notes of rye, cherry, cinnamon & vanilla; that led to a dry & creamy death of medium length with notes of more cherry & spice. If you’re a fan of high peppery, high octane Ryes, this one isn’t for you. If you don’t mind a good subtle smoky sipper, then this one is worth a chance. Flavor is rather unique, but pleasant. Not the usual clove, cinnamon, vanilla or caramel notes in most Ryes. More malt, smoke and leather. A cousin of the Irish Whiskys it’s based on. Slightly sweet finish.

While I don't like rye whiskies, this one is pretty good. One of the best ryes I've tried.
