Aroma - slightly burnt marshmallows, green apples, banana, and caramel... very light hint of a dried raisin as well … just awesome. Taste- tons of that marshmallow and light banana JD profile. Getting a slight hint of butterscotch, brown sugar, chocolate, and raisins and berries that seem to make quick flashes across the palate. This sounds amazing… but the finish is a let down in my honest opinion. It’s just a bit harsh and abrasive.. slightly smokey. I have come back to this bottle over several weeks and the finish is just rough every time. It drinks closer to 110-115 proof and there is a hug and burn that I’m getting every time I take a sip. I actually had a pour of another whisky proofed at 118 with less of an age statement and it didnt’ hit as hard as this did. Overall - it’s very good but I would NOT pay more than $80 for this offering (or MSRP)… It is honestly not that much better (if at all) than OF 1910 and WF Double Oaked or even Sagamore Double Oak.

Nose: strong char, camp fire, snickers Palette: sweet chocolate mocha, vanilla up front. Liquid caramel (if that makes sense) some coffee liquor with barrel char coming through mid palette, back end has sweet corn, candy corn, caramel and vanilla linger, some marshmallow, peanuts, very very soft tannins.
So happy to find this bottle.. ive been excited about it. Tried neat. Brown sugar, vanilla, fig, plum, nuts, and caramel on the nose. On the palate it’s smooth with notes of caramel, apple, cinnamon. This shit is delicious.. so delicious that even the wife is having pour!
Great bottle for the price. Only 100 proof but drinks higher than that. Bigger flavors than expected. Cinnamon but not the typical banana.
Nose is enticing. Sweet. Baking spice. Toasted marshmallow. Palate starts sweet but ends earthy. Finish is a bit drying.
The low entry proof is interesting. Don't confuse this with a toasted barrel finished whiskey.
