The nose is sweet and oaky, a dead match for a banana split with the richest vanilla ice cream you can find. There are hints of leather and smoke behind it all, but first and foremost it comes across as a dessert. The palate is very easy going, with oak and vanilla ice cream immediately carrying over. Bananas and dark chocolate follow behind, as the notes of smoke and leather are very faint in the background but do indeed around everything out. This is a very tame and gentle offering of Jack Daniels single barrel, allowing you to spend more time with the creamier and sweeter notes. The finishes medium, unfortunately running out of steam too soon. The mouth stays full of oak in vanilla ice cream as it all comes to a conclusion.

Uncorking- banana, vanilla and spice all a bit low key. Taste- Caramel and mellow oak on the tongue. Finishes sweet and mellow. Less banana than Gentleman Jack with more complexity. Vanilla and caramel are present but background to the brown sugar sweetness and banana. It's balanced with extra hug and spice to realize it's more than a normal JD but in some ways more mellow than JD SB. I don't know if I would say better than Single Barrel but different enough to be worth a try if you like JD SB and see it at retail. If you don't this won't change your mind. I do know there is no world this is worth $100 let alone the $300-400 I saw people selling these on secondary already.

Nose: very spicy nose. Thin caramel with a lot of peanuts Palate: very thin palate with more heavy peanuts. Not really oily though, just thin. Lots of spice too. Very similar palate to nose. Finish: some vanilla and caramel but kind of short finish. Overall: the bottle is cool, Eric church is cool, Jack Daniels is cool. The bourbon inside? Almost cool. I haven’t had the normal single barrel select in a while but this didn’t impress me much. Oh well! Cool bottle

First I like JD SB, but this one has a different taste. I think it's the first whiskey that I've tasted with a lingering banana taste. Has a good mouth feel, but nothing to brag about on the front of the tongue for taste. It's smooth with or without ice. It sort of reminds me of those young micro craft distillery whiskeys I've tried. I'd buy another JD product over this EC release. Luckily I found a 55 dollar bottle verus buying the 100 dollar bottle I saw earlier.

Pleasant mild tangerine smell, almost a very ripe watermelon. Strong Carmel note. Very smooth to drink. Velvety texture, initially cool and sweet. Slight heat (rather warmth)at the end with long finish and after taste. I enjoyed it neat and found it a really good pour.

Bananas? You best believe it. Smells like bananas. Taste... no, but it taste darn good. Definitely my favorite JD so far. Would by another 2 if there was inventory left. Some burn, but once ice mellows it, its a good sweet drink that dissappears too quickly.
