Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Heritage Barrel (2025 release)

Nose- a tad muted. Smokey marshmallow and graham cracker Palate- upon entry this is like a chewy s'mor! Graham cracker, chocolate, and marshmallow transition to fresh maple syrup with a bit of heat. There is a pizza dough/rising yeast flavor in the background that is subtle. Not off putting, but adding different layer. This does not taste like a traditional JD product. Finish- Long with a smokey cherrywood. Think smoked old fashioned here. It is very nice and even throughout Overall- This is right upnthere or might even surpass Michter's toasted bourbon. They fot the proof 100% correct as this needs nothing bit a glass. An unsung hero among a sea of toasted barrel wannabees.

This sip is excellent. Heavy brown sugar, slight butterscotch, and banana come to mind initially. Very long finish, oily mouth feel and a nice smoke note to round it out from the toasted. I havent tried many toasted that ive enjoyed but this one is fantastic. 93 out of 100.

One of the best low proof ~50 buck borbons ive had. Big flavors and strong finish. Not the typical banana from JD but more cinnamon. Revised to just average. One of the only bourbon ive ever had that got worse after it opened up.
