This expression is a straight rye that was fully matured in new, charred oak before additional time in ex-Pedro Ximinez sherry casks. It is bottled at 100 proof, released in limited quantities.

Nose- very mild with notes of flowers and grass Taste- starts sweet and turns rich and full then spicy Finish- long, lingering spiciness Works well in an old fashioned. Would give it an extra half star in a cocktail
It’s an ok rye. I prefer more the Sazerac Rye and Pikesville. Had a unique nose / taste / finish. Nose: dill, citrus, caramel, oak Taste: dill, citrus, honey
Very complex. Starts with heavy chocolate notes, then transitions into cherries. Wonderful mouth feel very nice, lingering finish.
Sickeningly sweet cherry, almost like an amaretto. Chemical and perfumey. Gave me a headache just to sniff it. Not my cup of tea.
The rye cannot stand up to the sherry. Sherry overpowers this pour and upsets the balance.
Smooth. The sherry cask finish gives it a great flavor. Very good sipping Bourbon.
