[12.16.21] I don't want to own up to how long I've had this bottle. Saw it at the Jim Beam tour and thought I'd give it a shot. Their black label signature was amazing, and their red wheat ones were pretty good. This has the high corn, refined moonshine opener. First sip has a bite but you don't notice after that. Salty/acrid in the middle but it mellows out to a brandy (dried, fruity whiskey) finish. Have to be honest that I don't really like brandy so the finish for me isn't as good as a red wine finish. I'm most likely to use the rest of this in some dead-awesome Madison-style old fashioneds. But not my sipper. Tl;dr? Watershed makes a limited release bourbon aged in cab barrels. That is better and similar price for us locals.
Jim Beam Signature Craft Bourbon Finished with Spanish Brandy Finish
About this bottle
Another addition to the Beam Signature Craft line, this whiskey is blended with brandy sourced from a Spanish distillery. While the practice of aging or finishing whisk(e)y--usually, Scotch--in ex-brandy barrels not entirely uncommon, the actual addition of liquid brandy to bourbon is a little odd. Beam Suntory has performed a similar move with one of its Canadian rye whiskies before, but this one might hit a little close to home for bourbon purists. Bottled at 43% ABV.

Sweet nose with notes of oak. Oak flavor with notes of brandy sweetness. Nutty, oaky & sweet finish. Sweet & oaky lingering flavor.
It’s not horrible, but the brandy is a little too strong of a mixer. I’m not a huge brandy fan, so the tase stands out to me
Sweet with hints of oak. Smooth lingering finish with a lot of fruit
I like it,
