Johnnie Walker Black Label Extra Special Old Scotch Whisky

Nose: Winter spice, quite fruity hints of white pepper and a little citrus.Smoky peaty finish Taste: Rich and full with notes of wood smoke and dry spice, hints of barley and cereal with creamy toffee and a distinct herbal note.A great introduction to the taste of Scotch because it offers a nice balance of sweet and peat. It is an elegant (almost scrumptious)

Nose Strong hint of sweet fruity vanilla and oak in the background. Hints of ethanol. Herbal notes are present. Smoke notes are also present. Taste Rich complex flavor with the sweet vanilla mixing seemlessly with the light hints of oak and smoke. A very light hint of salt and sweet vanilla left on the tongue lingering with herbal notes in the background.

Trying 2 different bottles, one from the 80" and one from 2020. 40 years difference but both bottles freshly open. That review is about the 80" one. In comparison it's more dark and strong That old style whisky hard to describe, smoked but not ashy and very fruity, vanilla cream, raisins apricot jam, oak. To be honest it's very good.

This is a good value scotch which I would rate a 3.25. Good every day drinker. Very relaxing.
