- Batch 14: Having previously recorded tastes of this whiskey, I debated whether or not to do so again. But it did so well against the other 11 ryes in our tasting event, I felt it deserved just one more thumbs up. Sweet citrusy nose, buttery smooth, viscous mouthfeel and a cinnamon finish. Just excellent. After this taste, I'm elevating it to a solid 5.0! - Batch 12, Bottle 176/230, 122.8 Proof: - Batch 17, Bottle 51/210, 121.8 Proof: - Batch 18, Bottle 37/224, 125.7 Proof: - Batch 21, Bottle 11/189, 121.7 Proof:

Got to taste this following our tour of the distillery. Big improvement over the regular expression of this whiskey. Nose is rye spice and fruit, strong enough to almost taste it. Nice, viscous mouthfeel and classic rye flavor profile. Lingering spicy finish. Very enjoyable. Our sample was batch 12 (122.8 proof). Purchased one of those, and a bottle of the batch 14 (119.8 proof) based on our tour guides recommendation.
Batch #14 of this cask strength version. Nose and palate are very similar to batch #12 we tasted at the distillery. However, it’s just a bit more enjoyable sipping it from a Yeti Lowball on a camping trip! Versailles State Park, about 1.5 hrs SE of Indianapolis. Cheers!
