The nose of the whiskey presents with mellow notes of vanilla and caramel. There is a gentle woodiness from the oak. On the palate the whiskey is gentle and smooth. The experience leads with burnt sugar and notes of the cask. In the body of the taste a light spice comes to the fore accompanied by vanilla and stone fruits. The finish is characterized by the tannins of the cask and a hint of charcoal. A wonderfully smooth experience that settles into a warm glow in the chest. Best enjoyed neat, but may serve as a lovely foundation for an old fashoined.

Warm pound cake with hints of apple and vanilla on the nose; smooth on the palate with notes of butterscotch, cinnamon and a hint of caramel. An excellent pour worthy of top shelf status. M Rowe has delivered once again.
