La Hechicera (Spanish for "the enchantress") is a rum which contains rums aged from 12-21 years. This Colombian rum has been available in several markets, most notably the UK as of 2012. This product was launched in the US in the summer of 2017 in select markets with an updated label to reflect the solera aging. The rum claims no additives or sugar added.

0.7 l bottle opened by Miljanica and Bruno, thanks for sharing. Unclear dark golden, slightly oily. Toffee, coconut and orange peel on the nose. Taste is roasted coffee and spice, a hint of vanilla. Nice sweetness, balanced with some oak tartness. Very smooth, a light sipper. Sweet warming finish.
Nose: Very woody, with some caramelly demerara underneath. Palate: Dry, crisp, and nicely rounded. Oak, barrel char, vanilla. Almost tastes like american whisky, but has clear fruity undertones of rum. Finish: Vanilla and oak. Medium length. A very nice rum.
solera version. smells caramelly, but not overpoweringly so. I'm not noting spice or wood in the nose. lite vanilla. taste is well balanced. end has a little wood, not super long but not short either.
Un rhum colombien de melasse sympathique mais tres classique dans son expression. Caramel, vanille, poivre, miel. Pas d'ajout de sucre mais une certaine sucrosité en bouche. Easy drinking !
Sweet molasses, wood, spice and orange. Nice burnt citrus coming through near the end with some alcohol burn. Nice sipper if you like your rum sweet.
Very good rum. Not too sweet and a little strong on the alcohol flavor (like most rums). Good, but not sure for the price.
