A very nice rye. Not available in stores. I have been told they are discontinuing it to concentrate on their rum. A shame as I think they need to make room for this too.
About this bottle
Lyon Distilling opened its doors in late 2013. They are producing rum here, but of course, as the distillery is located in Maryland, they are also making rye whiskey. This grain-to glass distillery makes its rye using 55% rye, 35% corn, and 10% 6-row malted barley for its mashbill. After distillation, the whiskey is aged in small (1 gallon), new American oak barrels with a level #3 char for under 1 year. Note, as this product is made in batches, small variances can occur. The sample tasted was from Batch #1.

Interesting. Very, very small batch, my bottle was one of 122 in batch 2. Complex, but really young.
