The tasting notes listed for this are stupid. Fruit? What fruit?? All I taste is coffee and cocoa and spice! Absolutely glorious. My non-coffee-drinking boyfriend said it tasted like burnt sticks.

not bad for a young rye. surprisingly chocolatey. while not my favorite sipping rye, this makes a tremendous cocktail, where i prefer a punchier, more grain-forward whiskey...
The malted rye grains make this smell very chocolatey. The palate is chocolate, coffee, and rye. Relatively one-note but an extremely interesting and pleasurable one note.
I was going to keep it just for others to taste, reminds me of paint thinner. I didn't give one star because it was NOT harsh alcohol, was drinkable, just not for me.
Hot and spicy, with a bit of chocolate malt- I like it. A little earthy, and slick enough to imply youth, but I like the cranked up spiciness enough to make up for it.
