Maple Leaf Spirits Canadian Kirsch

First Kirsch that I've tried. I have a sour cherry tree in my front yard and thus have been looking forward to this one for a while. Nose: Subtle cherry, stone fruit, ethanol Palate: Oily mouthfeel. Not much cherry and a bit of an off-putting soapy flavor. Finish: Medium and the pleasant. The soapiness fades to a bit of a grassy flavor. Of all the Maple Leaf spirits I've had, this is the only one that I didn't enjoy neat. Perhaps in an espresso it will fare a bit better.
