On the nose some fruit maybe plum, maybe eraser and wet grass (can't place the grass type) maybe wet forest wood?. On the pallet maple maybe or caramel. Finish cherry, cherry NyQuil. Interesting but good.
I would have thought that the bourbon barrel finish would just be mixing metaphors, but it adds a level of body and smokiness that's quite complementary. Glad to have been able to experience this.
Oaky, caramel, nutty, tree bark, rustic aromas. Apricots and olives on the second level. Peppery attack on middle tongue, fruity, sweet syrupy flavors.
Same style and price bracket, best rated first.
