About this bottle
One of the things that sets mezcal apart from tequila is that you can use any number of different species of agave in its production. While most mezcals (especially those exported to the U.S.) are made using the agave espadín, the easily cultivated genetic grandmother to the blue weber (used in tequila), gems like this are possible. A mezcal made from the rare, wild-harvested agave lumbre, which is rare to find outside of blends or “ensambles”.
