This is a limited edition rum from Montanya based in Colorado. It is aged for two years in previously used Colorado whiskey barrels. It is then transferred to French oak barrels that had been used to age Sutcliffe Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon and Port. Here it ages for an additional six months. Available in Colorado only.

This was great! Lots of complexity and maintains that essential rum characteristic without overwhelming you in sweetness. Lot of flavor packed into this bottle despite the relatively short age statement. I highly recommend giving this one a try neat, it shines on its own.
