Nashville Barrel Company Small Batch Cask Strength Straight Rye Whiskey

First time trying a Rye Whiskey from Tennessee. Its a great surprise and it’s very flavorful! On the nose: vanilla, anise, cinnamon were very noticeable. On the palate: Cinnamon and anise together with cherry notes. Added water On the nose: Presence of wax aroma and caramel. The cinnamon was still there. On the palate: it brought more caramel, toffee with the continued connamon. Very good overall! Great surprise. I’m not sure the price is right on this one. Although is ageg 8 years, i think we can find similar quality and age statement for less.
