Vanilla and a bit of cinnamon on the nose. The palate provides a dominent and lovely honey flavor with a bit of spiciness, turning dry on the tip of the tongue, with a finish that's fairly short, but continuing dry and sawdusty (pencil shavings is a good description).

I'm pleasantly surprised at how good this is for the price. Edit: okay just kidding. Now that I have finished the glass it really does taste like pencil shavings mixed with soap. It is smooth though ig so it has that going for it.

I'm kind of parcel to this one because of the name. Nelson's for life! I was surprised at how smooth this one was. Very tasty. I made reverse seared steak with homemade garlic and herb butter for Christmas Eve. Amazing!

David Grundy 3.8

Too much ethanol on the nose. Very raw and grainy. Some redeeming qualities in the palate, with decent sweet notes, but overall a bit unrefined. Mediocre: not recommended for sipping, much better suited for mixing

JeremySJ 4.8

Cherry and caramel on the nose. Has a creamy mouthfeel like butterscotch. Has some spiciness in the mid palate that lingers thru a medium finish. Not as good as the reserve, but definitely getting more of this.

I really like this one, classic bourbon caramel and vanilla on the nose. Brightness and a bit of punch to it. Not overly hot or spicy.
