Cherry, then apple, oak & corn grain in the Aroma. Very spicy and a touch hot for a 107 proof. Cinnamon, baking spices, a light bread note and finishes like a Fire Ball (candy). Water usually brings out more spice, in this case it brings out more bread, brown sugar and even molasses notes. This is a must add water bottle. Just 3 or 4 drops brings this more into focus. I get a lingering tobacco & molasses flavor. Moments of chocolate and coffee as I work through the glass. This seems to be one that you have to let wash over you. Try as I might, I can't get this to a full 4.0.

Overly sweet candy corn, fruit chews, heavy oak, maraschino cherry, charred marshmallow, butterscotch, nutty, heather honey, sawdust, ruby chocolate. Nicely aged. Didn't explicity say where it's distilled, just bottled in Nashville. Candy corn leads me to think it's Dickel. If so, it has come a long way but still has that unfortunate gummy vitamin aftertaste. Would recommend Joseph Magnus. Oxidized well, showing more of a herbal mint quality and burnt sugars. Surely MGP sourced, at least to some proportion if not entirely.
Nose - alcohol forward; seems a little bitty. Tostey, apple cinnamon. Palate - sweet (much sweeter than the nose insinuates), red-hot candies, roasted nuts, very “holiday spice candle”. Finish - lingering cinnamon Overall nice mid-high proof bourbon with a unique palate. Would make a great holiday sipper, or would be incredible in a warmed apple cocktail. Shared from PB
Ethanol on the nose and palate. Classic bourbon notes are here too, but seem muted, dull. Thin mouthfeel and an unremarkable finish. Purchased this bottle based on a WhiskeyTube review, so I was expecting a better experience. Maybe it’s the ‘neck pour’ syndrome! Hopefully it improves with time.
Nose: barnyard, leather, peanuts, dusted with powdered sugar Taste: vanilla, nuts, honey, caramel, breakfast cereal. Sweet and balanced. Would make a good comp for Buffalo T. Finish: mildly spicy tannic medium length Beat out Baker’s 7yr in a blind test. Finished second to Belle Meade Reserve.
Neck pour. Immediately regretting this purchase. I wasn’t expecting it to necessarily resemble a similar profile to Belle Meade Reserve, but it’s so flat & thin on the palate & finish. Easily the most disappointing bottle of 2022 that I’ve purchased.
