Nulu Toasted Rye Single Barrel Select (First Fill Spirits)

This is one of my favorite toasted whiskeys ever. The nose is toasty with classic rye baking spices and some herbal notes like clove. The pallet drinks far below it's proof. Sweet rye baking spice is the dominant flavor. However, the complexity of clove, toast, char, oak, cereal and a little white pepper. It all comes together to shine through to make this a long finish. Every time I crack this bottle, I find myself choosing a new note that sticks out to me. I have had this bottle opend for six months with about 10 pours from it. This single barrel is special.
