What a killer bottle. This is one of my favorite new (for me) bottles right now. I really appreciate producers who are willing to push the envelope and bottle something new. Quick tasting notes: honeysuckle and white tea in the fore-palate backgrounded by a subtle touch of salinity and a whisper of smoke. There is a finished quality to this, like cognac or a few drops of pear brandy touched the barrel at some point. All-in-all; there's an understated complexity here that makes drinking a whole pour of this a little bit too effortless
About this bottle
Launched in December 2015, Three Shores is the third release in Oola Distillery's Whiskey Discourse Series, an experimental line meant to initiate conversations around non-traditional whiskey aging and blending practices. This expression is a blend of 3 whiskeys representing 3 different countries: a Highland Scotch, a Canadian whisky, and an American whiskey distilled from a high-rye mash bill. It is bottled at 47.5% ABV.

I love it. I managed to get this for under retail, and I was still hesitant because I read some bad reviews online about this, but I am very happy that I bought it. There's a touch of a craft bourbon quality to this, but otherwise it has a very pleasant, whole, full, rounded character to it. It just has a way of feeling like it is filling your entire palate at once Chocolatey, with a deep dark fruit quality, and lots of rye spice in the finish.
Very delicious whisky not harsh or a punch to your taste buds, nice sipping whisky. Kinda of expensive at 50 dollars a bottle
Light and sweet, fruity flavor, and very easy to drink.
Very smooth, light spice from the rye
Very interesting blend. Smooth
