Extremely smooth. Just enough body to have a nice mouthfeel, but not terribly complex. A hint of brown sugar at the front with a pleasant sweetness at the tail. Subtle wiff of cocoa and a hint of orange peel lingers.
About this bottle
Colombian rum isn’t well known to the casual consumer, but there are several high quality expressions that originate there. Parce (slang for “good friend” in Colombia) is a relatively new U.S.-based private-label brand importing existing aged rum from Colombia, creating eight- and twelve-year versions. The Parce 8 is a blend of rums with a minimum of eight years in ex-bourbon casks.

Wait, this is rum? If I drank this blindfolded I'd swear it was bourbon. Wonderful for sipping neat to enjoy its woody character, as long as you're not looking for a particularly "tropical" taste.
3.75. Charming balance of caramelized sugars, light woody/nutty overtones, some hints of dry grain substantiated by booze-soaked red cherries, mild background of vanilla . Faintly hot.
A solid rum. Very smooth wirh some vanilla on the tip and a woody flavor throughout.
Soft, rich and sweet
