Old gold color. Supposedly 4-year-old Jamaican rum from Worthy Park. Aromas of cooked banana, crisp apple, plantain, diesel, animal fur, saline, cucumber, caramel. On the palate, this rum is fumy, with plenty of ripe tropical fruit notes. The caramel/molasses sweetness lingers giving this a sort of desperation drunk that I don't need. Medium quality, just overpriced in Oregon.
Rum Bar Gold Rum
About this bottle
Jamaica’s Worthy Park is the newest Jamaican distillery, with a modern facility built circa 2005. In addition to exporting bulk rums, they also offer the Rum-Bar branded rums in the Jamaican market. The distillery is a 100% pot-still operation, and their source molasses comes from their own sugar mill less than a mile away. The Rum-Bar Gold is aged at least four years in ex-bourbon barrels. This product is currently exported to markets outside of Jamaica (to Europe and Asia), and has plans to be available in the States in 2017.

Woody and ethanol nose and taste. But going to do fine in some cocktails needing a young Jamaican.
